The NYU Abu Dhabi Institute Presents DEATH OF A SALESMAN
Written by Arthur Miller
Directed by Rubén Polendo
A Theater Mitu collaboration on tour in the United Arab Emirates
Fall 2011
In a haunting and minimal production, Theater Mitu asks itself and its audience: what happens after we don't become the people we were meant to become? Incorporating staging theories of Japanese Noh, Balinese Masks, Thai Puppetry, rigorous physicality, and propelled by a live quartet, Theater Mitu creates one of its most daring productions to date. Delving into the heart of Miller's tragedy, Theater Mitu explores the courage and humility necessary to move past failed dreams and to recapture the ever-fleeting state of utter potential.
